City, Rural or Island
One of the best things about Greece, is choice. You can chose the
vibrant city of
Athens dawned by the famous Acropolis, or further
north,
Thessaloniki, much more relaxed, but just as good. Just
one hour from Thessaloniki is Halkidiki. A busy holiday destination
in the summer but home to some large resorts to consider and well
equipped to host large events.
Then there are the islands. To many to mention, but a few worth
considering are the large ones like
Crete,
Rhodes and even
Corfu.
However, if you want something out of the ordinary to really
impress your delegates or to host an incentive trip, then look
no further than Santorini, and Mykonos.
The less hectic
Island of Santorini lies north of Crete
and has good connections by sea or air. A massive volcanic eruption
created this spectacular island and houses and hotels cling
onto the cliff face offering the most stunning views and beautiful
sunsets in the Mediterranean. The cruise ships arrive in droves to take
in this startling island with its breathless views.
The
Island of Mykonos is completely different. Flatter,
just as pretty, but more vibrant. This island is home to some
superb resorts which in turn, become fantastic meeting venues.
As with most of Greek islands, Mykonos has great hospitality,
food, and a more vibrant nightlife.
